Evocati Inventory first impression, referral bonus, Coramor and more!

It’s that time of year, and love is in the air again as we step closer to pink paint and loveseats! This entry delves into the first look of the Evocati test of the new Inventory rework, a mention of referral bonus rewards, a glance into Coramor, and what to expect, as well as a glance into the monthly report and upcoming ship release this month! I have a lot to cover, so I’ll get started on writing!

A WIP of the Inventory Rework last year in CitizenCon 2025
Conceptual rendition and exhibition during the October 2025 CitizenCon event, work in progress.

The Inventory Rework test with the freshest “Avocado” testers (Evocati play-on-words) is currently ongoing with lots to talk about. As a tester myself, I can confidently say that there is a lot of positivity not only from the test content but also from the test community itself, as they pick apart the feature in every way possible, determined to break it so that CIG may fix it.

Key takeaways to make note of from the initial testing I encountered:

  • The image above is very similar in design to what was tested on. Appearance of the UI as well as window and character bubble placement are nearly identical.
  • Some buttons are replaced from the image above, like “Select All” is now “Move All”, which didn’t work at the time.
  • The Search Button near the top of each window expands when hovered over, and the search function actively filters as you type, and is not case sensitive. This was also broken during testing, as search input wouldn’t clear once entered.
  • Proximity access DID work between multiple inventories! If I stood no more than 3.5m away from a container or station inventory kiosk, I had access to it which I could manipulate the left and right windows to show whatever inventory I wanted. This made transferring from one box to another seamless and painless without having to be the middleman with my backpack.
  • Ship inventory seemingly works anywhere when standing within a ship. not sure if this is a deliberate function, as most ships have personal storage lockers, and access seemed spotty from ship to ship.
  • Hovering over items still displays the old info text window, but it’s not so obtrusive as it has become in recent patches.
  • Item pages are now numbered (thank goodness), and you can see almost an entire page of items without scrolling.
  • “Stack All” did NOT work in the initial patch, however the intent is for this to work before release.
  • Clicking to equip and Shift + Clicking to move items from one inventory to another seemed very snappy, so optimizations were definitely added.

All in all, it was a very refreshing experience. Being it is a Tech-Preview from the main 4.6 branch, it still had a lot of the same bugs we’re enduring now, but the inventory wasn’t pouring salt on the wounds, which is a huge relief. I look forward to more testing as we progress, with Crafting and transit surely to come soon after in the next week or two!

Drake Kraken WIP exterior bow
Drake Ironclads interior and Command Module (Top two) and Drake Kraken’s bow (bottom) work in progress

Monthly updates can be quite large, so I will begin with providing the direct link to it here! What I’ll briefly touch on are some key things coming from ship art teams! There are 6 unannounced ships at various points from both the EU (5) and US (1) teams, all around the latter stages or just passing White Box development. The MISC Hull B passed greybox, and is now in LOD 0, so we can expect that to be complete with final art in the next month or so! The Greycat UTV tactical cart is approaching a gate review and looking good. Gatac’s Railen is progressing through greybox steadily, indicating it is on time for a release near or on Alien Week late this summer. Drake’s Ironclad, Ironclad Assault, and the detachable Command Module are well into the latter stages, with the art shown above marking significant detailing. The Drake kraken is also crawling through whitebox, with art shown above giving a first real glimpse of the product coming along.

Wednesday will showcase an anticipated ship with this week’s video content from CIG. Behind the Ships (BTS) videos provide an in-depth look at a new or upcoming release, with the star of this week’s show being an alleged salvage variant of the medium-sized mining ship by Argo, the MOLE. Keep your eye out for it on Star Citizen’s own Youtube channel as well as for other official content releases!

It was a long read today, with a lot going on this week, so I greatly appreciate your time and attention! Feel free to leave any comments below on what your thoughts are on the Evocati tests, or any other content mentioned or missed!
