Roadmap Roundup, Origin Spring celebration, and RSI In-Game Discounts
Good afternoon, Citizens! This week comes in with some mild updates, with most of the weight being carried by the anticipated monthly Roadmap Update and Roundup! Some off-the-wall sales also were planned to hit both the Pledge Store and in-game shops such as Astro Armada in Area 18 and New Deal in Lorville. Other than that, it was an otherwise generally slow week, Star Citizen Live (SCL) and Atmo E-Sports notwithstanding.
Roadmap Roundup
The biggest news to hit this week, and possibly this year, have been the notes listed in this month’s Roadmap Roundup. while relatively shorter than most, this update features two of some biggest features that players have been waiting for for what seems like years now: Crafting Tier 0 (T0) and the Inventory Rework. Both of these features have been marked as “Tentative” for Alpha 4.7, which is a really good sign that they have made enough progress to consider them ready for the larger audiences such as the Persistent Test Universe (PTU) and eventually the Persistent Universe (PU) thereafter. While I did not get into Evocati Test Group early enough to tryout the Crafting preview, I did manage to get in before the Inventory Rework (you can find my feedback in a previous post here!). Crafting, from what I hear from other content creators, had very positive feedback despite a lot of the usual Evo build bugs and disfunction. You can find the details of both these two features at the RSI website in their latest Comm Link.

Origin Spring Celebration and RSI In-Game Fleet Discounts
Origin Jumpworks, an in-game ship manufacture esteemed for their luxurious spacecraft and five-star living spaces, is hosting a 3-day celebration of their major lines to bring in the spring season. Ships from the 600 series, as well as the 400i and 890 Jump were placed on display in the Pledge Store giving shoppers an uncommon chance at picking up some of the most extravagant spacefaring vessels in the Verse (albeit at no small charge to the consumer). The 890 Jump was giving a wide berth of sale waves for the 3-day event, which you can find in a recent RSI’s Comm Link. Roberts Space Industries (RSI) didn’t want Origin to have more than a day’s worth of spotlight however, as they announced a fleetwide, in-game discount to their ships at Area 18’s Astro Armada and Lorville’s New Deal markets. From the Aurora, recently given a “gold standard” pass, to the popular Constellation series and Apollo lines, any and every ship on their lots have been given a 20% aUEC discount to their in-game listings to celebrate the opening of a new exhibition at the Mohio Museum: “RSI: Beyond the Millenia”, a celebration of RSI’s impact on the expansion of Humanity across the stars. Citizens can find make use of this discount at the previously mentioned stores in-game from February 25th to the deployment of Alpha 4.7 sometime in March.
Star Citizen Live and Enter Atmosphere 2956
Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) had a busy week with video content and presence with their weekly update to development. Star Citizen Live reintroduced two team leaders critical to the functional workings of the Verse and the storyline overlays to dress it up. Lead Systems designer Thorsten Leimann and Lead Mission Designer Elliot Maltby sit down with Jared Huckaby to talk Industrial Gameplay. You can watch the video on both Twitch and Youtube.
Keep your eye out for the eventual release of Alpha 4.7 to the PTU for wider testing… only then things should start to get exciting!
Cheers Citizens!
